Dead Sea.

Good morning, friends! Or good evening, rather, as I'm 10 hours ahead of you and have just gotten up while you're just about to go to bed. Just a word of reassurance, tomorow's looking pretty good. I think you'll thoroughly enjoy it when it gets there.

So how's everyone doing? Well, I hope. Working hard? Having a good time? Spending lots of time with the family? It's funny the things we take for granted.

Today I'm going to the Dead Sea. I keep a list in my wallet. I lost count at about 150 but it's a bunch of things I want to do in this life. I don't know if I'd call it a "bucket list" because it has nothing to do with dying. I mean, obviously dying would get in the way of completing everything on the list, but it wasn't the point when I made the list. Not that I made the list all at once, either. I guess I'm constantly MAKING the list. I add things as they come to mind. Things I would love to be able to say I did or just enjoy the experience of doing. It's a big list. The point is...I'm going to the Dead Sea today. I'm going to swim and I'm going to cross that off my list. I recommend making a list.

I'm not entirely positive about what the rest of the day holds. I think I'll end up at the center for a while again today. I spent most of yesterday there hanging out with the Sudanese guys. I went originally for the Sudanese church service but no one else showed so I just hung out with Joseph (one of the Sudanese) and then later on when a couple guys showed up, we prayed together for a while and then rearranged the center. The room that was being used for the kids is kind of open to the outside so it's starting to get too cold in there. So we moved the day care stuff into one of the classrooms and moved the classroom into what was the kids' room. Then we went through all the computers that had been donated and figured out which ones worked, which ones needed what, (power cables, keyboards, etc.) and how to get them all connected to the internet. So today I might end up going to the mall and picking up a couple things for the center and then going back there to hang out with everyone again.

I didn't end up going to Tel Aviv yesterday because I walked to the center and kind of lost track of time. I was supposed to talk to Eldon after the church service but since I walked, I didn't want to go all the way back home just to find out I wasn't going to Tel Aviv and then have to walk back. I was hoping he would call me but it turns out they don't even use their phones on Shabbat. Really, it worked out fine in the end. I just stayed at the center for a while and then came home and did some reading and relaxing. Kyle got home late last night and we watched "House" (one of my favorite TV shows) and had some food. Good times, good times.

Well, I miss you all and would love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave comments here on the blog or email me at timped2006@hotmail.com. Thank you all for your prayers. Love ya!

.Tim

Funny how technology follows you around the world, eh? Cell phones (even if they're not used on Shabbot, Computer, "House" (by the way, I like that tv show too!). There, I have left you a comment on every one of your blogs now! ;-)

so the Dead Sea eh? That's incredible. Isn't that the sea where there is so much salt that you can float? That's amazing, brother. I'm really proud of you for working hard to do what you want :) Is it weird thinking that you're in the same place that Jesus once walked? That would be pretty overwhelming to me. Anyway, I miss you a lot, but I'm glad you can be there. Have tons of fun and take tons of pictures so we can spend an entire night talking about it.

love you, brother
